On the afternoon of May 15, the teacher representative of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering held a teaching and research exchange seminar with Markus Huhtinen and Anniina Kontiokorpi of the Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Finland, on the cooperative program of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in the field of energy and power engineering. The seminar was chaired by Bi Fengyang, Dean of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Dean Bi Fengyang firstly welcomed the arrival of the Finnish delegation, and at the same time expressed his affirmation of the work carried out by the two schools since the launch of the cooperation program. He hoped that through this seminar, he could have a more in-depth understanding of the school-running situation of the two sides, and looked forward to the two sides being able to cooperate in more fields. During the seminar, Dean Bi Fengyang introduced the overall environmental characteristics of Heilongjiang Province and the college’s speciality setup and scientific research development. Markus Huhtinen from the Finnish side introduced the research programs, research directions and the mode of cooperation with local enterprises of the Karelia University of Applied Sciences, and reviewed the overall operation of the Sino-Finnish cooperative education programs in the past three years, as well as the challenges encountered in learning and teaching. The two sides also had a lively discussion on the teaching schedule for the fall semester of 2023, course arrangement for Finnish faculty, scientific research and curriculum development, and the joint establishment of a research and development team. Liu Hongliang, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Wang Jiajie, Director of Scientific Research Department, Wang Baohua, Deputy Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, representatives of excellent teachers and students of College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, as well as the relevant project leaders of Prepare Education Consulting Co., LTD also attended the seminar.
