At the invitation from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and Research Center of Education Development and Reform, Professor Futao Huang from Research Center for Higher Education at Hiroshima University in Japan delivered an academic report entitled "Higher Education Diversification - and the Development and Trends of Higher Vocational and Technical Education" in the Toyota Audiroriumat our universityon September 23th. Vice President Bai Yu attended the public lecture. The meetingwas presided by Director of the Office of International Cooperation and ExchangesMs.Meng Zhongyuan. Related departments, department directors and some teachers attended the meeting too.
In his lecture, professor Huang cited a large number of international cases,analyzes the history and current situation of higher education in the United States, Germany and Japan and other countries from the perspective of international comparison. He compares the traditional and the new vocational and technical education from different perspectives, like the evolution process of the world‘suniversity of applied sciences and higher vocational education, relevant curriculum structureand curriculum development.He also explained the features of the education model of university of applied sciences and the existing problems of higher vocational education in our country. |
